7th Grade Band Expectations

Effort & Citizenship

Effort 

• Responsibility:  Student is expected to bring his/her music, instrument, and a pencil to class every day.  He/She is expected to have a positive attitude in class and participate to the best of his/her ability.

• GIG Attendance:  Student is expected to attend one Guided Instruction Group each week  with his/her music and instrument.

• In-Class Assignments  Student will occasionally do in-class assignments; for example, rhythm worksheets or performance reflections.

• Return Forms:  Student returns parent communications and progress reports by the deadline.

Citizenship 

• Respect:  Student will show respect for fellow band members and the director, and take proper care of band equipment.

• Teamwork:  Student will work cooperatively with others and will contribute positively to the band.

• Following the Rules: Student will understand and comply with school and band room rules.
